He gets it with a strangled cry from somewhere deep in his throat and he was so focused on Will’s face and that feeling in the moment that he doesn’t even know if it’s embarrassingly soon. It was five seconds; it was five years. It… was probably something in between there. He’s never experienced an orgasm that intense and he feels like his whole body is melting in its aftermath. Panting, his eyes stay on Will’s.
Malcolm nods, looking out over the railing. Did he start that? He didn’t want to fight with her - rather the opposite - but he hadn’t been able to stop his reaction, either.
He looks at Will. “Sorry,” he says sincerely. He glances over at Shaw. “Sorry,” he tells her, though a little more perfunctorily. He straightens up. “I, um. Have to go. I have some appointments,” he explains, pushing off the railing to head towards the counselling office.
Will nods at the apology, giving Malcolm a weak attempt at a smile. He's getting a headache, but he appreciates the attempt to calm it down from both of them. And- Malcolm's leaving. Well...okay.
"Bye, Malcolm," he says quietly, still running a hand over his face.
Then he looks over to Shaw. "Oops. Didn't mean to break up the discussion."
"Shouldn't've had it in front of you, anyway. Probably shouldn't've tried to have a conversation with him at all. I don't do well with sensitive people, especially the ones who go the "sad kicked puppy" route instead of the angry route."
She pauses, and then, echoing Malcolm, adds, "Sorry. You okay?"
Will pulls Malcolm through it, drinking it all in and still suctioning what he can until it's clear Malcolm's starting to relax. He calms down too, then, still breathing heavy through his nose as his mouth eases languidly off of Malcolm. He smiles sharply, reaching up and cleaning a tiny bit of overspill off of the corner of his mouth with his finger. He licks that finger clean, looking deeply satisfied. His eyes finally close in an expression of bliss.
He can see why Hannibal was so compliant now- the experience was exquisite, even from this end. Maybe especially so. He grins at Malcolm as he starts to crawl up, wanting to be face-to-face. He collapses to Malcolm's side and gently places a hand on Malcolm's superheated shoulder. "I think..." he says, still breathing rather heavy. "That went pretty well."
“I definitely understand now why people like those so much,” Malcolm replies, also grinning, rolling onto his side to face Will as he settles next to him. He reaches up and threads his fingers through the loose curls at Will’s temple, then lets his fingertips trail down along his jaw, using then to tip Will’s mouth to his as leans into a soft, lingering kiss before drawing back to look at his face again. Those same fingers come to rest at the base of Will’s throat, fidgeting lightly there.
“So… when we did that… could… you feel what I felt?” he asks curiously. Normally he’d feel like he hadn’t done his part yet, but Will had seemed immensely satisfied.
Yeah, honestly? Will feels very set. He's still hard, but it's not demanding attention. He'd much rather spend this time kissing Malcolm and getting further confirmation of how in sync they are. The fingers brushing against his throat make his eyes briefly shut, and he groans with happiness (and maybe just a hint of soreness in the thighs).
"I could...tell how much it meant to you, and how good it felt to you. And that means a lot to me. So it's not- it's not like it's magic, but it...sort of felt like it. If that makes any sense." Will's smile is open as he plays with a bit of Malcolm's hair, tucking it behind the other man's ear and out of his eyes.
"Felt like magic to me," Malcolm tells him with a self conscious laugh. He feels flushed and high and he can't remember the last time he was so light inside. Euphoric. "You can stay for a while?"
"Sure," says Will, that smile not disappearing but calming a little. "The dogs are at the kennel and I don't have anywhere else I need to be. I thought this might- well, not this-" He corrects himself with a laugh. "But I thought the talk might be...rough, or that it might take a while. So I cleared the evening."
Will is very much about to pull the whole 'yeah, just have a headache' bit when he realizes that he really doesn't have to here. Moreover, he shouldn't.
"Uh. I will be?" he says, with an almost questioning smile. "Not sure what set me off there, other than...general over-sensitivity. I don't usually do well with those people either, it's just- Malcolm's a little unique."
Will's mouth opens slightly as his peripheral vision catches where Malcolm's hands are going, and he lets out a small 'ah' as he feels it. His breath is half-gone already when Malcolm goes in for that second kiss.
Will's legs curl under him a little as his feet and ankles seek more skin to curl around. Will's hands reach up and comb through Malcolm's hair, then lightly tease the back of his neck with feather-touches. Malcolm might still be a bit too sensitive for that, and if so Will would certainly back off. But Malcolm started it up again, it's totally his fault.
Still sensitive, but the way it makes his head spin goes with the euphoria. He tilts his head to kiss Will’s jaw, his neck, to nuzzle under his chin and kiss his throat, his hand upping the tempo slightly at the response from Will’s body.
There's still a small bandage where his throat meets his chin, but it's small and easy to avoid. And besides that, Will seems to enjoy the attention to his throat, leaning his head way back to allow Malcolm better access. He lets out a small happy groan, in between his catching breath. His hips start to move with the hand motions.
"That's nice," he manages to croak out, in between all the other noises. "So nice..."
Malcolm nips at his Adam's apple, presses kisses to his jaw, his cheekbone, hand keeping tempo with the thrust of his hips as he tilts his forehead against Will's cheek, breath hot and ragged on Will's ear.
The nip and the breath against Will's ear both elicit a hitch in his heavy breathing, and his leg muscles twitch as Malcolm continues stroking. Will's movements are starting to get more erratic- it wasn't like he came down all that much from the high of getting Malcolm off before the attention turned to him.
He wants to lick at Malcolm's ear, and suck on that spot under the neck. But it's just a little too far away, and he doesn't want to lose the wantonness that's hovering just over his own. He attempts it, but ultimately gives up and kisses Malcolm's jaw before breathing heavy breaths into Malcolm's ear.
He feels like he should say something, but he also feels like he's not going to say anything that wouldn't already be understood. He loves this. He's already close. He wants more.
Is it his imagination that he can feel that or are they just that in synch? He can't think about it right now; he can't think. As Will's movements become more erratic, Malcolm's hand goes faster and he lifts his head just enough to see Will's face, so he can watch when it contorts with pleasure. He's sure it's close.

[Continued from here to make this conversation canon. (Norton probably came to visit and then made a similar joke about gags.)]
And yet you're with someone else.
Don't get me wrong, I hardly had a claim on you. I'm not the sort to lay claims anyway. But it doesn't make sense. If it meant a lot to you that I was courting you then why the new beau?
I… could tell you have affection for me, but I didn’t think you did… commitment. And. It just kind of happened. I didn’t realize he felt that way and when he told me, it just kind of… felt right. That doesn’t mean you don’t mean anything to me. I just thought we were on the verge of being friends with benefits and that we could still be… friends.
[It's the same thing Kiryu said to him once, when he was still Kiryu's inmate, and bemoaned how many times on the Barge he'd had a casual partner end things with him when they found someone else to settle down with in blissful monogamy. And Kiryu told him he didn't present himself as someone it was possible to have something serious with.]
You're right. I don't really do commitment. I think needing someone else is an awful thing that inevitably leads to disappointment and misery.
[But he wants it. Enough that he was a little bit tempted by the thing that wasn't Gideon offering even just a hollow, make-believe version of it. Enough that, even though he makes it clear that people shouldn't look for it from him, it stings every time someone ends things to find it with someone else.
But for now, he grins.]
But of course we can still be friends! This ship is too small not to be.
[But Malcolm isn’t a normal friend. He sees something cross Norton’s face.]
I hope you’ll try needing someone else again at some point. [He had a brief moment of hoping it would be him, but it was probably magical thinking brought on by Norton’s attention after Shaw’s rejection. He knew people like Norton who could handle casual, but his own feelings are always Too Much. But hadn’t Neal contacted Norton when he was in trouble? Did that mean something?] I love you too much to wish otherwise.
[Titan save her from cheery people. Kikimora instantly bristles, not trusting either the smile or the offer-under-duress. She climbs up into a chair, eyes hooded]
Let's just get this over with so I can go back to doing more important things.
