It was terrifying. And the best thing he'd ever felt.

He swallowed hard as Raylan pulled the car off the road, holding his gaze for a long moment when he turned to face him.

"I've found you frighteningly easy to trust since we met," he confessed. "And I don't.... trust people. You could destroy me," he said with some degree of trepidation. "I can't defend myself."

There were no walls against his need to let Raylan in.

"But I don't believe you will."

He trusted him.
