He has no idea what 'redevelopment hell' is or entails, but hell is hell and he won't question it.

"Your mother seems most entrepreneurial," Doc observes. It is not a negative comment - he just finds himself pleasantly surprised time and time again the many different variations of lemonade that women who regularly withstand all manner of tests of character can make these days out of life's most unsavoury lemons. There were plenty of better, more dignified choices he could have made in his life, but bitter and jaded and angry and short-sighted that he was, he didn't care much for doing anything more than shooting his way out of trouble. He's decided he would rather not die an asshole, but it was a far longer time coming than what most other people have the courage and strength to do.

"I happen to have brought this with me." Doc shoves his hand into his front left pocket and pulls out a small vial. It looks like it's filled with some kind of blood based on the colour and viscosity of the fluid. And there's nothing like a bit of blood to drive the sharks in the city's water into a bit of a frenzy. "This ain't just any old blood. It'll know, and it'll come. Rather you not tell your mother I plan on making a bit of a mess though. She might not take too kindly to that."

It'd be impossible to miss Malcolm's enthusiasm. Most people would balk or shy away from the idea of luring danger to their doorstep, baiting and trapping and putting themselves in danger in the process. It's all very primitive, very messy, just a little reckless, and definitely not for the faint of heart. Not Malcolm though, apparently.

"I have befriended a witch. Multiple witches, as a matter of fact, but only one I had to request this favour from." And by request, Malcolm can surmise that a few unkind words and a knife was involved. "I suppose you don't deal with this very much down here. Hell is for 'redevelopments' and cases are a little more straightforward. But you do have quite the mind for this sort of work, if you're ever interested in that small, idyllic demonic town life." It's just another day in Purgatory, for Doc, although he's not planning on staying there forever. He's not planning on staying anywhere forever.

Although. He's not sure Malcolm would get along with Nicole very well... maybe he'll be fine with Jeremy though.
