Malcolm practically vibrates at the fact that Will is pleased. He nods eagerly.

“I cooked dinner!” he blurts out like he just can’t contain it anymore.

He takes the cover off the spinach and strawberry salad with goat cheese and a mild vinaigrette.

“I made… well, I cut up this stuff. And…” He takes the cover off a rectangular casserole dish with scallops baked in a homemade cheese sauce. “I put this in the oven and took it out.” He looks at Will.
