Her first draft was an analysis of their reaction from her point of view. We talked about how she can figure out what they felt, from their point of view. She’s having a hard time with it, but I think she’ll get there. She wants to connect with people. This will help her.

I wanted her to change her approach, yeah. If you want to help her with it, maybe try baby-stepping her through one or two. I took her through mine, relating what I felt that day to something she’s felt before. And just, in general, when she does something carelessly, without regard for how it affects or even hurts other people, you can redirect her back to putting herself in the place of the person or people she affected and how she would feel if someone else did it to her. It will be uncomfortable for her and difficult at first, but it will help her.
