[Malcolm clutches his bag, already slung across his chest, closer to him. Maybe it feels more secure that way. Maybe he's just trying to steady the tremor in his hand.]

I think it would be... safer. To stay here. Here is... just a place. Neutral. But his ship... if he's as untrustworthy as we both think... that's hostile territory. And... whether we stay here or go there, I'm running out of medication. And I can't sleep properly. But there's fresh fish and berries every day, so at least I can eat. If we stay here... there's a limited amount of harm I can do... to you or myself or anyone else. At least, we can mitigate it. If we go up there... I don't know how much nonperishable food we have that I can stomach. I don't know whether we'll have somewhere where I can sleep. All of which... drawn to its logical conclusion.... means that every day we're up there, the more I'll be a liability for you. There... are things I just can't adapt to. I'm too broken. And when I break, I'll drag you down.

Hey- you will never drag me down. Never. We'll do what we can, if we end up there. I'm not sure how well I'll do in hostile territory, either. It's...familiar. Still- no matter what happens, I'll do everything in my power to keep you safe, and I know you'll do the same for me.

But yes. Let's try to stay here first. We have solutions here, Jamie's staying too. If we end up on board anyway...well. We'll do the best we can. Anything beyond that is everyone else's problem.

[Malcolm takes a deep, if shaky, breath and then nods. He won't let anyone harm Will, but more than that... Will still believes that, even in the state Malcolm's in. He lets go of his grip on the bag to hug Will. More than a little squeeze, he's clinging to him like he's a life preserver, but it's a cling with conviction.]

We stay together and god help anyone who comes at us.

Yeah. We should stick close, too. I don't think.... From the impression I got, he's grabbing all of us. But- just in case.

Let's go break camp. One of us should wear the blanket. From what I hear, that might be the only one we get.
