I don't think this will take too long, and given the solution is provided by the Admiral, while we did test it's efficacy, I won't be testing it any more than I have to in the off chance that his gift fails.

Folgate has supplied me with a special pair of earplugs. I didn't mention before, though I will impress upon you the importance of confidentiality, that the trigger is high pitched sounds. Mr. Seed's dog whistle went off just as I was leaving the green house, which caused the episode.

These earplugs are meant to filter out those sounds, and I will be wearing them in public when ever is possible.

In the event of a failure I'm...considering the option of training my passenger, but I wouldn't rely on that any time soon any more than I am going to trust these earplugs.

But, it should significantly reduce the possibility of future episodes.

Doe and Jedao believe it's possible and while I doubt her capability to change and grow, that doesn't mean that it is in fact impossible until proven otherwise.

[He knows she can, though he's still strongly opposed, because it means he'll have to change his behavior, to let John back in to speak to her, and solidify what he already knows and is denying.]

Though I wouldn't get too invested, I highly doubt you will be involved unless somehow necessary, Mr. Bright.

No, but how would you go about that? Does she understand language?

[Varker isn't about to tell Malcolm she was able to tell John her name, though that seems to be the only word she's been able to actually say. The rest had appeared to be feelings interpreted into words.]

John was speaking with her in what ever weird way that he can. She cannot speak, but he can understand her, and she seems to understand him. I just am hesitant on delving into this too fast. [Meaning he doesn't want to let go of the fact that he hates her while also being terribly afraid of acknowledging what she actually is, but he's definitely not giving any hints that this is the reason why.]
