Will puts his arms around Malcolm's waist as Malcolm reaches up for his neck. It's so automatic at this point, they move like clockwork together. One would think they've been married for far longer.

"You know me so well," Will says. "Thank you."

Will kisses him again, a gentle basking in this feeling of contentment. Of peace, as Malcolm put so well.

And then he intentionally breaks it, smirking slightly. "You know you can't show yourself up from this point on, right? Hard to top literal property as a gift." His eyes sparkle with playful mischief.

He grins.

“I didn’t think I’d peak so soon,” he teases. “Well, challenge accepted,” he promises with a laugh. He glances around thoughtfully before looking up at Will again. “We still have to fill the cupboards and the freezer and the fridge. …Buy clothes to put in the closet so it doesn’t feel like a holiday rental. Get toys for the dogs. Get fishing tackle for this kind of river. …Take your new boat out to make sure everything is working. You know. Lots to do,” he jokes.

"Are you asking me to go pick out table settings, like we're newly engaged?" He can't keep a straight face for that, so he lets himself chuckle. "So much to do...but I think we can handle it. We can learn about this river together."

They should go get the dogs, let them smell everything, maybe see about bringing in some breakfast--

Will squints suddenly. "Wait- did you say 'new boat?'" Maybe Malcolm's referring to what they're going to next build together, but Will knows he can't predict anything today.

"Oh! Yeah!" He lets his arms slips down from Will's shoulders to grab his hand as he flings the balcony door open, pulling him outside. He points down at the river where a relatively modest boat but suitable for the river is docked at their little dock.

He looks up at Will.

"What do you think?"
