I thought it might be time for you to have your beast magic powers back, now that you have Princess here. I was going to ask you to tell me what they entailed. And I was going to offer the healing powers you were asking for, since they're short handed in the infirmary and you expressed interest in helping there. But I'd want you to take some lessons on human anatomy first.

We don't really need to know human anatomy to heal one, you know.

Beast-keeping magic is again, very limited on the ship. We use it to communicate with animals; talk to them, summon them in times of need. The best of us can transform our bodies to have longer teeth, horns, claws, night vision, wings, things of that sort - borrowing traits from the beasts we keep. Princess, for example, would not have looked the way she does had I been some other kind of demon.

I suppose I could command the animals on the ship - Taylor's bugs, the chickens and goats in the greenhouse, the pets the people here have, any spiders in the walls... And make them stronger by association. I know this fantastic spell about creating fire bees she might be interested in..

Theoretically I could make you and your wolf pack far deadlier, if only temporarily.

Illusion magic sounds highly risky. I’m offering you two covens back. Maybe we start there and see how it goes before we discuss it.

And I don’t agree to any of this… backfiring on your friends stuff. If he messes up, it should backfire on himself. If he needs incentive to learn control. And I don’t require yours to backfire at all. You know how to control it. If you choose to control it at harming someone, you understand the consequences.

Practice defensive magic. Make a second me and see if I could control her to walk and speak. Perhaps imitate others.
